I mentioned it at the meeting the other night I want to host a Monthly “Come Visit Siege Perilous” night. I would like the first of these to be Saturday the 5th of December. All current Siege Perilous Players are asked to attend to assist any new comers that may attend. Siege Perilous is a vastly different place than the standard production shards, our ways, rules, and means of interaction with other players greatly differ. This is a chance to hopefully dispel some of the misconceptions some players have of Siege Perilous, and hopefully bring in a few fresh faces to Siege Perilous. Visitors are asked to meet at the West Britain Counselor’s Guild Hall, aka. The EM Office.
This event will last from 8pm EST til, 1 AM EST. 5 Hours for Siege Perilous to show it’s the best shard, come out and do your part to try and give Siege Perilous a Boost! For those of you that play Prodo in addition to Siege Perilous spread the word, send it to your shards forums, get the word out!
I will be attending and helping out as I can by providing spot “entertainment”, and meeting with New Comers and Veterans of the Shard a like.

At the meeting Tuesday evening we had a short discussion on the possibility of recognized player towns. I want to give a bit more information on this and hopefully get all of you up to date on what will be expected from a player community in order to have it qualify. If a community qualifies they will receive a Banner Marking their community.
Size Requirements and Associated Titles
- 5-10 Village/Hamlet
- 11-20 Town {similar in size to Cove, Buc’s Den}
- 21-30 City {similar in size to Skara Brae, Vesper}
- 31-50 Kingdom/Empire/City-State {Similar in size to Britain, Trinsic}
Other Requirements Necessary
- The Prospective Town must contribute to the Shard’s overall Community.
- The Prospective Town must petition the Crown for Sanctioning. [Though Communities may exist in Ter Mur, Queen Dawn will still be recognizing them]
- The Prospective Town must have some binding factor defining it’s member buildings. [Same House Sign, Marker of some sort on buildings like Banners, similar house designs or a theme to designs, etc.]
- Cannot claim portions of existing NPC Settlements as portions of their town, though if it borders you may patrol those areas. [Meaning If your community was outside Trinsic's walls you could not claim Trinsic as part of your City. You could try to enforce your cities laws in Trinsic although you would be subject to all flagging/guard activities.]
** Please note that although the Crown will be Sanctioning Communities this does not mean they will have to follow or abide by common laws against Stealing, Murder inside their Townships, each will be able to govern itself independently, Sanctioning is simply a means to establish Diplomatic status. These rules are subject to Change.

Sorry it’s been a while, I got rather ill for a bit, but it’s time to get back on track.
Tues. I want as many as possible to gather in Luna to meet and discuss some Intra-Shard and Inter-Shard event possibilities. One thing I’ve noticed is that Siege needs people, and intra-shard events may help with this. Additionally I’ve got some proposals for just on Siege I’d like to discuss with everyone.

Be it known that the companion of our Queen Lady Dawn, known as Sherry the Mouse has gone missing. Sherry having volunteered to explore areas of the Abyss, claiming that her small stature would facilitate crossing this region unmolested and undetected, set out several days ago and failed to meet the party waiting for her outside the Royal City in Ter Mur at the appointed time. Any persons finding Sherry or evidence of her passing in the Abyss is asked to report this information immediately.

I would like to congratulate all those that entered and thank them for taking the time to submit an entry for the betterment of the Siege Perilous community. Siege Perilous is vastly different than many of the shards in ways outside rule set, it’s players stand out to me as being more community minded than most shards, your behavior when items have been passed out has been excellent! As has your ability to set aside guild alliance and allegiances during events to work together as a team. For this I thank you all as it has helped greatly! Your showing what a mature adult community is all about, while doing so in a more extreme game environment than any other available to UO’s player base, and at the same time showing why people should be playing Siege Perilous.
So without further babble and tear jerking heart warming blather from myself I’d like to present you with the winning design!

It was once again a close voting, but this one edged out the competition. I will see to it’s construction as soon as possible, though this will be after the Stygian Abyss launch as I will have to recruit the assistance in it’s creation, and all those up in Fairfax are currently full steam ahead with bringing you the best possible expansion they can. So get ready for the Stygian Abyss, I hope to see as many of you there as possible and would like to do a few events there in the near future to help us all explore this vast new land the dev team is presenting us with.

Here Ye, Here Ye!
With the loss by the Shadowlords of their greatest allies, the Crimson Dragons, Lady Dawn has deemed the time to strike directly at the Shadowlords has come. All those who support the rebellion agianst Lord Casca and his evil overlords are asked to meet once again at Cove Docks for transportation to an undisclosed location in order to join the battle. The gathering of our army shall occur at 6pm EST on Sunday the 6th of September!

Quietly Dawn peered over the ridge at the site below. “Crimson Dragons! Is this what you brought me here to see Fayaxion?”
“Yes Lady Dawn, it is. This is where the Crimson horde has been hiding, I’ve risked much to find this place, now I need your aide.”
“Anything, I can do I will, without your aide Luna would still be under siege!”, Dawn replied “But what is it you have in mind?”
With a growl that almost gave away Fayaxion’s draconian heritage, “The Platinum Dragons will attack catching them unprepared, destroy this enemy and our others grow weaker, but I would like some of your army to assist in this, I do not ask you to come yourself, I know you’re planning a much more dangerous assault, but I would like what aide you can provide. I’ve learned that the Crimson Dragons have provided much magic for followers of the Shadowlords including hidden chambers for them to plan in secret, carved from reality with their magics. Destroy the Crimson Dragons, and the followers of the Shadowlords will be more greatly exposed. ”
Nodding, Dawn gazed back at the Crimson Dragons and wondered if they soon would be walking into a death trap.
“Tonight at twilight I’ll gather a force to accompany you, but let me ask you this, what if you fail?”
“Let us hope that does not happen.”

Fayaxion rushed towards the City of Yew faster than most humans can imagine yet only slightly faster than her thoughts, “This one must be saved, it is rare to find one so virtuous and noble, let so strong of will and arm, one worthy of our friendship and assistance!” Powerful as she was, Fayaxion knew she could not stand alone against the combined might of the human’s captors , but perhaps she could rally the mortals that were worried over the on going chaos to help free the woman.
Please Meet with Fayaxion tomorrow Night (8/11/09) at Yew Abbey to embark on a rescue mission at 9pm EST. And May the Virtues Guide you.

Once again troubling rumors have drawn me to the quarters of Lord Casca. Unlike last time where I was met with a troubled soul this time things were much different, I found Lord Casca laughing manically with a dark glint in his eye. I asked him what had happened, and was met with the following reply.
Squeak! Rats indeed, but I showed them, I’m no puppet, nor will I have that sword hanging over my head any longer. I’ll crush any who stand against me just like I gutted the poor hut the Glorious “Lady” Dawn lived in. Oh you should have seen the hovel the “savior” of Britannia lived in, lived like a farm wife yet had the audacity to inquire into how I run the Kingdom. No longer will I be viewed with suspicion or hatred, from now on I’ll be mentioned with fear!
Hearing this I set about inquiring about both Lady Dawn and finding out more information about what happened today when Lord Casca addressed the public, and was able to find this information. Lord Casca’s address was recorded as follows.
Citizen’s, Peer’s, Betrayer’s.
Long enough have you called for my blood,
long enough have I listened to your plaintive crys,
and closeted talk of rebellion and treason,
through rumor.Know this, my patience has grown thin,
my leniency has ended.
A Tyrant, you name me, and invision me,

After this address Shadowlords and their Minions appeared on the scene. This in an of itself is troubling indeed.
As for Lady Dawn, the only thing I could find concerning her, was the following image drawn and painted by a woodsman named Fayaxion who came too late to save the burning home which can be viewed here.
I quickly came to the now damaged home, and found no sign of a body, so it is safe to assume that Lady Dawn is quite possibly alive, and it seems currently gone into hiding.
